60L 2 weeks after setup - Trimming lessons

I made this video to show how I trim my plants.Usually I do several different trimmings according to layout's development and plant's needs. This is the first trimming on this layout and not make any sense do some corrections on the plants to enhance the shape of general layout. Plants need to get volume and later when they get enough volume and filled the areas, I pass to adjusted trimming process.

Please accept my apologies, but this layout has not one week as mentioned in the video but 2 weeks. I mess up the setup date with the postprocessing of photos and videos. This layout was setup on 27/October, so it did yesterday (10/November) 2 weeks and not 1 week. Sorry for that!
I already edited the video on youtube to cut the first seconds, where it is mentioned 1week. As soon it will be processed, it will make sense with the title (already changed).

first trimming after two weeks...how do you do?
your plants growing too fast

Hi Andrea,
It is a question of balance between lighting system,CO2, Soil and liquid fertilization. Once you get the best relation between them, it will be better that you have your scissors oiled because you'll need it very often ;-)
The secret is on CO2!!!

It's amazing how the plants grow so fast.
I'm trying and trying to get to the balance but is very dificult.
I have the N and P fertilizers apart from the rest, and i think that could be and error.
The K is also a problem, it isn't easy to find the right quantity.
The Co2 i think i can trust the CO2 Test, should i?

Great Work :)

Boas Filipe,

excelente trabalho novamente, gostaria de saber uma informação. Que especie de planta usas-te a frente das microthemoides?? Parece parvula mas parece demasiado carnuda.. Obrigado e grande abraço

Vitor,

I never trust on CO2 indicator, I just use them to stay alert when the CO2 is finished or have really bad water circulation. Normally my CO2 indicators are above the normal, and most of the time yellow!
To avoid headaches I don't use individual liquid fertilizers, I prefer good chelated and concentrated fertilizers. Usually they work in slow release and nutrients will be available on the water slowly, not affecting the fishes and preventing the aquarium enter in collapse. You get more stability and you will not be worried about if you need X qt of N today and X qt of P tomorrow... always fighting with your fertilizers and mostly don't have the benefit of have an aquarium, that for me is pleasure!

Cheers,

Pedro Patricio,
A planta que está á frente da Heminathus Micranthemoides é a Eleocharis aciculares.
Com o sistema de leds que tenho permite-me manter esta planta bem baixa e muito parecida com a parvula; a diferença está na curvatura e na forma como se espalha.

Cumps,
